Mail and More in California offers DOJ & FBI certified Live Scan Fingerprinting and FBI Ink Fingerprint Card service. We are officially certified by the California Department of Justice and authorized by the FBI to roll fingerprints for background screening for licensure, certification, employment and immigration purposes.
Live scan fingerprinting is a form of inkless electronic fingerprint files which are electronically transmitted to the Department of Justice and/or the FBI for a criminal-history record check. This type of fingerprinting is required in applications for nurses, physicians, teachers, real estate licensees, CPAs and attorneys — as well as anyone having contact with children or the elderly. Fingerprinting is also available at request for personal background check.
This option requires a Live Scan Request Form which we can help you find online. You are also required to show a valid identification card (state ID, driver’s license or passport). These two items must be presented at the time of service to complete the process.
The Live Scan Fingerprinting fee is $26 (a separate government processing fee may be applicable). The ink card service fee is $25 for the first card and $20 for any additional cards for the same individual. The blank FBI FD-258 cards are also available on-site for $1.00.
We welcome walk-ins during regular business hours. No appointment is necessary.6
